BEST CLAM CHOWDER by HOG ISLAND OYSTERS〈オイスターバーの激旨クラムチャウダー〉

While heading to our hotel, we hit Oxbow Public Market to go to Hog Island Oysters to have the famous clam chowder! By the way, this Oxford Public Market was very nice with local restaurants and very nice shops with unique kitchen supplies and super foods. The atmosphere is very nice and elegant. And here's the chowder!

No need to explain but super yummy! What makes this one different from other chowder is that it is served with the shell and it is not too chunky. The soup is light texture but thick with creamy and white wine like taste. Clam chowder is is such a fancy meal for me because you can enjoy the creamy sea taste that makes you go "Mmmm♡"

ホテルに向かう途中の晩御飯でOxbow Public Marketに寄りました。ここがすごくいいマーケットで、いろんなローカルレストランや調味料、キッチン用品、ご当地チーズとか色々たくさんおしゃれに売っていた！（さすがナパって感じ）そしてクラムチャウダーが美味しいと有名なHog Island Oyster Barへ！よくあるコテコテのクラムチャウダーではなく、あっさりサラっとしたスープだけど、クリームと白ワインの濃厚なコクにあさりの”海感”がしっかりあってすっごく美味しかった！一杯のボウルにクリームとワインと海が詰まってる料理なんて贅沢だね。ナパっぽい写真と秋の葉っぱもとってみました。
