"SHIP FLYING OVER THE RAINBOW" PROGRESS〈"虹の上をとぶ船" 進捗〉

まだまだ作業の途中ですが、ジブリの魔女の宅急便に出てくるウルスラの描いた絵「虹の上を飛ぶ船」のモザイク画の作業中です！

はじめに印刷した画集のページを三等分にカットします。今回は大きい作品にしたいので♫

(I'm still working on it, but got this far with my "Ship Flying Over The Rainbow" piece from Ghibli's Kiki's Delivery Service.)

(First I cut the printed copy of the design in three. I wanted to make this one a big piece!)

こちらがネットで見つけたハードボード。ガラス＋グラウトで重くなるのでハードボード＋木枠のものをAmpersandブランドの厚さ3/4inch、縦横24✕18inchのものを3つです。

(Here are the hardboards I bought online. Since with the piece it going to be heavy with glass and grout, I needed to buy cradled hardboard by Ampersand 3/4inch thick, 24✕18inch and 3 of them.)

こうゆうことね。(So it'll be like this!)

作業するにあたって汚したくないのでマステで横を保護します。

(I covered the sides with washi so it won't get dirty.)

ハードボードの表面をデザインと下地の意味を含めてプライマーをスプレーします。先生のオススメでBulls Eyeのをネットで買いました。

(Then I spray painted the surface with Bulls eye white primer so it'll be easier to draw the designs.)

印刷のデザインとハードボードに同じ比率で枠を書きます。このほうが模写する時に分かりやすい♫

(Next I drew lines on the design and the hardboard to make a frame for tracing.)

先週やっと一枚完成。 (Finished the first one last week.)

目とか感情が読める箇所は特に難しい！

(These tracing is so hard when it comes to eyes or faces where you can see their emotions.)

2週目で作業も慣れてきて鉛筆での下書きは完成しました♡今度はシルバーの油性ペンで清書していきます！

(Anyway, finished the pencil tracing this week! Yey! Next I'm gonna trace again with silver ink pen.)
