WHY WE LOVE "TSUTAYA BOOKS" in DAIKANYAMA〈代官山蔦屋に行く理由〉

Before I list down all the reasons why we all love Tsutaya Books in Daikanyama, let me scribble down what I love to do in the weekends.

1. Go to book stores, dig up huge art books to find a piece of art that I can fall in love with.

2. Get cafe latte from Starbucks, open my laptop and just do net surfing looking for particularly nothing.

3. Maybe buy some stationary and pick out my favorite envelope, thinking maybe I should write to my mom because we all email now.

4. Go to CD shops and look for my all time favorite which I missed to buy years ago.

5. Browse travel magazines imagining where should I go for my next vacation.

Um... and the thing is you can do all this in one place. "TSUTAYA BOOKS"!!!

Tsutaya, which in my mind used to be just a rental video/dvd shop years ago have changed it's concept and produced a sophisticated atmosphere called Tsutaya Books (T-Site) where you can enjoy a huge selection of books from all genre, usually with Starbucks, sells cd/dvd, stationaries, electric appliances, cook ware, gardening goods and all other life style goods. There are about 10 Tsutaya Books in Japan but this time I had to visit the one in Daikanyama first. (I missed this place so much!)

Daikanyama is usually a place where high brand but also local craftsman are opening their own store to promote their brand. It is usually full with energy of creators and every time I go here I get... really influenced. Of course in a good way.

It is a place where you can stay all day, just browsing and reading. I personally love the selection of art book. Very inspiring!

The one in Daikanyama is perfectly built for authentic workers with motivation, creativity and inspiration.

I might not have time for it this time, but next I'd like to visit the one in Futakotamagawa where I used to go all the time:)

やっぱり蔦屋が好き！そして何店舗かあるけど、その中でも代官山はまた特別な存在な気がする！特に何もすることがなく、でもなーんか特別な気分になりたいなっって時はここなんだろうなぁ。。個人的にはやっぱり美術書の多さに惹かれる！今まで知らなかった作品や画家を知れるのは嬉しいし、専門的な本がいっぱりあるから新しい趣味を探しにいくようなもの。仕事を頑張る若い人たちのためによくできた場所だと心から思います！来てる人たちもかっこいい。笑　今度はよく行った二子玉川のほうもいこっと♪
