OCHOBO INARI SHRINE is probably the cutest name you will hear in Gifu prefecture where they enshrine the God. It's official original name is CHIYOBO INARI SHRINE but it became known as OCHOBO by it's nickname. (So Cute! OCHOBO!)

God of harvest is said to be enshrined in this place, but people believed that God himself is in the body of Fox. So the lady at the entrance will sell you a piece of deep fried tofu (which is said to be the favorite food of fox!) so you can give it to the God when you pray.

After you finished praying, it's time to eat the best food served here! (Oh, and no shrine stamp available here!)

The shrine is located in a street where you'll find lots of restaurants and stores, but the best meal is the fried pork on stick (kushi-age)

This outside stand-up style is so casual and fun! You'll see the freshly fried pork/shrimp or anything lining up on the stand. You just take one, dip in the sauce or miso and start eating! Japanese original sauce is the one located in the left in above pic. Miso is the one you'll see in the middle with other sticks inside. These sticks are also for sale which is pork tripe dipped in miso. And the rule that they strongly insist is "NO DIPPING TWICE IN THE SAUCE" so when you do it, do it throughly! lol After finish eating, you give the sticks, they will count the number and pay. This process is so fun, so delicious and I promise you it is food happiness:)
。。」でした☆
