One thing that I always buy when I visit Kyoto is this fancy Umeboshi by Ousu no Sato.

With tradition and technique, they create the best Umeboshi. (pickled ume) Usually umeboshi is pretty sour so that it will match with rice flavor, but their umeboshi is sweet with less salt, that you can enjoy only by itself. Almost like a fruit!

Each ume is wrapped in a beautiful package. Expensive one like this is around 500 yen.

The most popular "Kyo-ichirin" is around 350 yen. Sweet and sooooo good! You can also try almost every one of them and they also serve tea for free♪

They also have different line ups like ume juice or ume sesame. Who knows, sometimes we all need fancy umeboshi♡
京都行ったら必ずっていいほど買うのはおうすの里の高級梅干し♡すっぱいものが多い中、ここのは塩分控えめの甘いフルーツのような梅干しが最高に美味しい。。。中で試食もさせてくれるし、梅昆布茶もだしてくれるし♡なんといっても1個1個包装されている感じも素敵。漢字の名前がついてるなんてやるわねって感じ。そのままパクパクいけちゃう甘めの梅干しってなんか時々食べたくなるのよねぇ〜。
