CALIFORNIA GIVING OUT IKURAs!〈運がいいとカリフォルニアではイクラがタダでもらえるらしい。〉

本当に衝撃的だけどすっごい嬉しかったことです。なんと知り合いの友達夫婦がハーフムーンベイに魚を買いに行った時に船乗りの人にいきなり「君たちサーモンロールは好きかい？」って聞かれたらしく、好きと答えたらほぼ3kg分のイクラをもらったとのこと！笑　なんじゃそりゃ。船長いわく他の魚も全部売れちゃってサーモンだけが残ったらしく、さばいたらイクラがでてきたけど、売れないのであげたんだって。しかも船長は「僕達レイジーな西洋人はうまく調理できないだよ〜」的なこともいってたらしく。・・・好き。

とにかく大量のイクラが手に入ったので連絡をくれた時はうちらもかなりテンション上がった♡塩で下処理した状態でくれたのでうちでは醤油漬けにして一晩寝かせてから冷凍にしました♫

(Apparently California is giving out ikura for free. Well I'm just kidding but this was probably once in a lifetime thing. So my friends went out to HalfMoon Bay to buy some fishes and they were stopped by this fisherman suddenly asking "Hey do you guys like Salmon rolls?" so they said yes and got this almost 6LB of ikura for free! Whata heck. Well the story was he sold out all the fishes and there was this huge salmon left. So he chopped it up and ended up with tons of ikura which not many people are willing to buy so just randomly asked them if they want it. Saying "we stubborn Americans don't cook them well." which is funny. Anyway, so they called us and we were super happy saying heck YES! They have done the cleaning with salt so we brought it home and dipped in soy sauce for a night and froze it.)

そして晩御飯はお刺身をかってきて海鮮丼♡

(And of course our dinner was fresh seafood rice bowl. Yum)

アメリカでこんなもの食べられるとは・・・っ♡幸せすぎる！
