WEEKEND GETAWAY "CANNERY ROW"〈休日のおでかけキャナリーロウ〉

最近カリフォルニアも雨ばっかりで、なーんか出かける気がしなく。。。てか、カリフォルニアって雨の日遊びにいく所あるのか！？映画くらいじゃない？・・・とか、考えていたら今週末は晴れるとのことでおねだりして「おでかけ」してきました！行き先はMontereyのCannery Rowです♡
(These recent rainy days got me thinking what are we suppose to do on weekdays besides movies and all that, but since it finally stopped raining, I begged my husband to do some weekend getaway and went visit Cannery Row in Monterey!)
サンノゼから１時間半くらいなのね！だから日帰りで気軽に行ける♪こんな近くに素敵な海辺の街があるなんて。。。♡魔女宅です。
(It's only hour and a half so 1 day trip is just perfect. Love the fact that it's so close by and we can see all these beautiful ocean side. Just like Kiki's Delivery Service!)
もともとイワシの缶詰で街がかなり潤ってて、もちろんもう無いけどそのレトロな工場をリノベして色んなお店が入って、その周辺も栄えてて色んなショップが並んでるかなり感じの良い街です。
(It seems like the town did well with sardine can business and the old factories have changed into shops but the retro design of the building are still preserved. And the whole town is like that with lots of cool shops.)
クラシックなアメコミグッズや車のおもちゃが売ってたり♡
(Just like these classic comic goods and vintage car models.)
トルコ雑貨屋さんにかっわいいランプいっぱい飾ってあったり♡
(And these beautiful Turkish design colorful lamps.)
自分の好きなオリーブとバルサミコでオリジナルのドレッシング作れたり♡（もちろん買いました♪）
(Of course I bought these personally made olive oil and balsamic salad dressing.)
これぞ海辺にあるべきお店！映画「フォーレストガンプ」の"BUBBA GUMP SHRIMP"
(And the restaurant which is perfect for this place, BuBBA GUMP!)
あの映画に冒頭に出てくるフォーレストが持ってたトランクとチョコありました♡あの"Life is like a box of chocolate, you'll never know what you're gonna get."ってやつ好き。
(And that bench and suit case and the CHOCOLATEE!! LOVE that quote too!)
あと死ぬほどたくさんお菓子が売ってたり。
(And these crazy candy shops...)
ここにもいい感じのアンティークモールありました♡
(Also the antique mall which I always look for when I go travel.)
アンティークモールにあったこの時計。うわっヤバイって思ったけど、とりあえずそのままで帰りました。お宝探ししてるみたいで本当に楽しい。
(This classic beautifully designed clock blew my mind but did not take home and I'm starting to regret it. lol)
