MY LOVE for ASAKUSA CONTINUES〈日本帰るとやっぱり寄る浅草〉

なんだかんだでアメリカ住んでると一番恋しくなるのは「日本感」。美味しい料理もそうだけど、都内なら徒歩でどこでも歩いていける範囲だし、車社会のアメリカではないような「街を歩いてて季節感を感じられるもの」が沢山あって散歩だけでも楽しい。特に浅草なんてガッツリ観光地だけど、初夏のあたりとかいいなぁーってしみじみ思います。
(One thing that I really miss the most when living in US is the "Japanese-ish stuff" if you know what I mean. It's just those small things. Unlike here in California, you can just take the train and walk everywhere when you're in Tokyo. And it's those things you see around the corner of the town you see and say "Oh God, is it already that season?". Especially in Asakusa, Tokyo, yes, it is a perfect touristy spot, but before summer is my favorite season to visit there.)
雷門前は混んでるけどやっぱり見ておきたいし。
(Kaminari-mon is always crowded but you gotta see it.)
風情ある今半で美味しいすき焼きも食べたいし。
(My urge to eat Sukiyaki at Imahan is well.)
夏の氷。

いらないのにかっちゃう手ぬぐい（笑）
(Pretty towels I always buy even I don't need them. lol)
最近できた日本生産のものだけ集めた「まるごとにっぽん」ビルには日本の食をテーマとしたお店がいっぱい入ってて、そこのわらび餅が絶品♡お店のすごく感じのいいおじさんはいつも並んでる人に試食させてくれる♫
(The Warabi-Mochi sold at this new building with Japan made items only is called "Marugoto Nippon" is super good! These nice guys here always give you samples while we wait.)
個人的には落語が好きでよく聞きに行ってたから浅草は大好き♡
(Personally, I love Rakugo, traditional Japanese comedy show, so I love this place!)
質の高い器とか調理器具やさんも沢山あって楽しいんだよねぇ〜。あー行きたい！笑
(High quality dishes and cooking tools stores are just so much fun to look.)
