After looking around the main shrine, you can go to the left side of the area (after crossing the bridge) to visit the Kaguraden. And I have to say, foe me this is the best part due to the enormous sacred straw ropes you'll see hanging from the roof.

I believe this is where several ceremonies are conducted in which weddings can also be conducted in this place! The size and the color of this architecture is just amazing.

Shrine stamps are also available here and I did buy the strip sinceI forgot my note book.

And just as extra tip, I recommend you to visit the Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo if you have time to learn about the history and details the stories told in this area. The techniques and knowledge these people cultivated since hundred of years ago are quite astonishing and it is so much fun to learn the lives and culture of old Shinto style Japan. Personally, I am a shinto believer (Gods exist in every daily life occasion, material, nature and environment) so the customs told in this area felt really close to me.

出雲大社の東側にある神楽殿の迫力は本当に見応え満点でした！巨大なしめ縄に青銅色の柱と日本人の感覚の美しさが凝縮された建物だなぁーと。ここでももちろん御朱印いただきましたよ♪　あと時間があれば出雲歴史博物館はかなりおすすめです。出雲の歴史、古代の人々の暮らし、神話の詳細などわかりやすく丁寧に展示されていて、中もキレイです。個人的にも自分は神道に近い考えなのでこの地の教えはすんなり入ってきて見ていて心地よかったです。
