I LOVE JAPAN TRIP part9

Many people might see Kurashiki, (town-side area of Okayama prefecture) as shopping district but if you look closely there are many essence of culture, tradition and personality of the artists in every product they have.

If you visit the Kurashiki area, the shops and stores are lined along the beautiful river where you can also enjoy your first Kurashiki Sailing experience. Just walking along the river browsing the stores are simply delightful too.

You can also visit the shrine if you want to get out of the crowd for a little while.

Also I was lucky to have a chance to stay at this hostel. "CUORE KURASHIKI" The place was very clean and comfortable. Also the owner was super nice and easy to talk to! (Web: ☆)

倉敷はみてもお買い物くらいかなーなんて軽く考えていたのが浅はかでした。特にびっくりしたのが、どこの街よりも若者が頑張ってるー！というくらい１つ１つのお店にアーティストたちの意気込みと愛情を感じました。いろんなところから雑貨を取り寄せてあったり、若くて才能のある職人さんの作品をとりあつかっていたり、何を問い合わせてもすごく丁寧に教えてくれます☆水辺を歩きながらそんなお店をのぞいたりするのはすごく楽しかった☆近くに神社もあったので、人混みから抜けていくのも良し。

宿泊はクオレ倉敷さんにお世話になりました。施設もキレイだし、使いやすい。あとオーナーさんがこれまた若くて感じのすごくいい人でした♪
